Outfit Review - Applebin

I recently purchased a new outfit for Adaline from Applebin, a Korean website specializing in clothing for ball jointed dolls. From what I can tell, most of the outfits come in a variety of sizes. The website has tags for "msd" and "usd" but clothing in the "girls" and "boys" tags also come in a variety of other sizes such as "sd" and "sd13".

The majority of the website is in Korean but there are instructions for ordering written in English as well. You order by email (which I was nervous about, fearing a language barrier) but everything went very smoothly and I was impressed with the communication.
The fabric for the t-shirt I ordered was out of stock so they notified me that it would be replaced with a similar style fabric (letting me know the item # of the new fabric so I could see it) and I actually ended up liking it better than the original. ;)

I also really like that applebin has each item in a sets price listed individually so you can order piece by piece instead of having to order the whole set.

I bought msd size, of course, since Adaline is a Kid Delf.
I ordered the shirt, skirt and cardigan (pictured below) and applebin included the leggings and scarf as a gift. (*´▽`*)<3
I love it all! Everything is very well made. There are no raw seams and it was packaged very well.

My next concern was that the clothing may not fit Adaline because the website didn't specify if it was slim msd or regular msd and Adaline has the "romantic bust" (the bigger bust size for kid delfs) which is too large for some msd sized clothing.

(Shame on me, I need to get her some cute mori-style shoes...)

It fit! I think the style of applebin's clothing is sort of loose and long so it (thankfully) fit's most 1/4 sized dolls.
I am in love with this outfit. It's so adorable and I liked that they are nice basic pieces that I can mix and match with others.

I was also very impressed with the small details.

Such as the little tags inside the clothing that say applebin.net...

And the lace on the pocket of the cardigan. (*^ワ^*)

Needless to say, I'll be purchasing from them again very soon. :)

BJD Meme

o1.) How long have you been in the BJD hobby?
- I first started browsing/looking at dolls in probably 2005/2006. I always wanted one SO bad but didn't have the income. I even bought one of those cheaper little plastic barbie sized dolls from Volks (I'm not even sure if they sell them anymore?) at one point. I finally bought my own bjd in January 2013.

o2.) How many dolls do you have at home?
- One complete doll and one floating head.

o3.) What are their names and sculpts?
- Luts Kid Delf Cherry (girl/normal skin/romantic bust) named Adaline
- Luts 2012 Kid Delf Wintery (girl/white skin/floating head) named Daoine

o4.) Which doll have you had the longest? How long has it been?
- Adaline; purchased January 2013.

o5.) Which doll is your favourite?
- I love them both.

o6.) Are you waiting on any dolls now? If yes, which one(s)?
- No, although I really want to get Daoine a body.

o7.) What is your grail doll?
- That's hard. I'm going to say Unoa Lusis right now because Unoa is so hard to get in the States.

o8.) Did you learn to do something new because of this hobby? (e.g. photography, painting, sewing)
- I haven't learned anything new because I already love to do all those things but maybe you could say I'm getting more practice and getting better? Lol

o9.) Have you made any friends you might otherwise not have because of this hobby?
- I'm trying to.

1o.) What are your doll plans for this coming year?
- A body for Daoine, as well as building up a decent stockpile of clothes for the girls and finding the perfect carrot-colored wig for Adaline.

New Eyes for Adaline

Adaline got a new pair of eyes today. Her previous eyes were 16mm and very bright blue. I originally envisioned her having light/natural blue eyes and the 16mm basically gave her no white on the sides so I went with a 14mm. I like them a lot! They seem to make her face look poutier though. Hehe
